Sheltered by the giant Pyrenees in Huesca center area between the rivers Cinca and Alcanadre we find the young Somontano. Its approval came in 1984, with hub operations Barbastro, consists of a total of forty-three municipalities. More than two thousand hectares producing about seventy thousand hectoliters of wine.

A Soil of marl, limestone and conglomerates has developed deep permeable soils, excellent for growing grapes.
